More Ikebana Practice 🌿

I've been continuing to explore the art of Ikebana, and with the garden looking particularly beautiful recently, I couldn't resist heading outside with my snips to gather a few stems and have another go.

One of the things I love most about Ikebana is how differently it approaches flowers compared to traditional arrangements. Rather than focusing on abundance, the emphasis is placed on balance, shape, line and negative space. Every stem has a purpose and every placement is intentional.

With so much inspiration growing around me, I selected a handful of flowers and foliage that caught my eye and spent some time experimenting with their natural forms. It was a lovely reminder that flowers don't always need to be arranged in a large, overflowing display to make an impact. Sometimes a single stem, carefully positioned, can be just as striking.
